Twix Cake Recipe

This chocolate-layered twix cake has salted caramel and chopped twix bars. The cake has caramel drip and chocolate icing.

Ingredient

– 2 ½ cups All-purpose flour – 1 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder – 1 ¾ cups White granulated sugar – 2 ½ teaspoon Baking powder – 1 ½ teaspoon Baking soda – 1 teaspoon Salt – ¾ cup Oil – 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract – 4 Large eggs room temperature – 1 cup Buttermilk room temperature – 1 cup Hot water steaming – 1 cup White granulated sugar – 4 tablespoon Unsalted butter – ½ cup Heavy cream – 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon Salt – 1 ½ cups Unsalted butter room temperature – 8 oz Cream cheese room temperature – 5 cups Powdered sugar sifted – 1 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder – 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract – ½ teaspoon Salt – 3 cups Chopped twix

Direction

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray two 8-inch cake pans with nonstick. Spray again and line bottoms with 8-inch parchment circles.Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar in a medium bowl. Set aside.

Steam pot water. In a large bowl, combine oil, vanilla, eggs, and buttermilk. Add boiling water gently and whisk until combined.Dry and wet materials should be simply combined. Runny batter. Fill both cake pans evenly with batter.

Bake until toothpick inserted comes out clean, 25–29 minutes.Flip the cakes onto a cooling rack after 10 minutes in the heated pans. Cool cakes fully before decorating.

Prep the caramel or bake it while the cake layers bake. Pot sugar dissolves over medium heat. Dissolve sugar crystals with whisk.Be patient till amber. Be careful—this takes less than 30 seconds. Take off heat.

Mix half the cubed butter vigorously until incorporated. Mix in the remaining butter. Hotten the cream in the microwave for 30 seconds. Slowly add cream and blend. Add vanilla and salt.

Return the caramel to heat for 5-7 minutes. It bubbles more when cooked. This thickens the caramel to prevent cake flooding.Put caramel in a glass dish to cool.

Sift powdered sugar and cocoa powder in a big basin. In another dish, whip butter and cream cheese on high for 3 minutes with a mixer.Use a rubber spatula to scrape basin. Add half the powdered sugar and stir slowly until smooth.

Stir in the remaining powdered sugar until smooth. Adding vanilla and salt.Cut cake domes using a serrated knife for a level surface.

Lay the first cake layer. Add ¾ cup frosting to the cake. Icing the cake's border. Spread ½ cup caramel on top. Add 1 ½ cups chopped Twix.Final layer, bottom-up, on cake. Freeze for 10 minutes to set fillings.

Frost cake.Optional caramel drip: Freeze cake for 10 minutes. Pipe caramel drips off the cake using a piping bag. Add more caramel to the cake. Sprinkle chopped Twix bars on top.
