Pear Tarts

Easy puff pastry tarts with fresh pears, tangy blue cheese, and sweet fig jam on buttery puff pastry take minutes to make. 

– 2 sheets thawed puff pastry – ⅔ cup fig jam – 6 ounce blue cheese – 2 large pears cut into thin slice – 1 large egg – Fresh thyme



Bake a parchment-lined baking sheet at 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove the puff pastry sheet and cut it into three long rectangles along the seams.

Cut each rectangle into three equal squares. Repeat with second pastry sheet.

Place the squares on a parchment-lined baking sheet, an inch apart.

Scoring the crust half an inch from each square's edge creates a border. Mix the egg in a small bowl.

The egg that has been beaten should be applied to the exterior crust of each tart using a pastry brush.

Place a spoonful of fig jam in the scored lines, top with pear slices, blue cheese, and thyme sprigs.

Bake puff pastry on the middle rack for 18-22 minutes until the edges are dark golden brown and fully cooked.
