NDUJA PASTA

Nduja Pasta is a quick and easy pasta dish that's full of flavor. Made with nduja, a spicy spreadable salami from Calabria Italy, this is one dish that will satisfy your cravings for something bold and flavorful!

Ingredient

– 200g Nduja (spicy Calabrian sausage spread) – 300g pasta (penne, rigatoni, or your choice) – 2 tablespoons olive oil – 2 cloves garlic, minced – 1 small onion, finely chopped – 400g canned chopped tomatoe – Salt and pepper to taste – Fresh basil leaves, chopped (for garnish) – Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)

Direction

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion. Sauté until the onion is translucent and the garlic is fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the Nduja to the skillet, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the Nduja is melted and starting to brown, about 5 minutes.

Pour in the canned chopped tomatoes and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together and the sauce to thicken slightly.

 Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the Nduja sauce. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated in the sauce. Serve the Nduja pasta hot, garnished with chopped fresh basil leaves and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
