How To Grill Watermelon (Easy Grilled Watermelon) Recipe

Grill watermelon for a summer snack everyone will adore! Aleppo chili pepper flakes and honey-lime sauce make this luscious grilled watermelon dish amazing. A must-try!

Ingredient

– 1 small personal-sized watermelon, about 2 ½ pounds – ¼ cup honey – 2 limes, zested and juiced – 2 teaspoons Aleppo pepper, or ½ to 1 teaspoons red pepper flakes – blocks of creamy feta for serving, (optional)

Direction

Heat an outdoor gas grill, indoor griddle, or cast iron grill to high. To put the melon flat on your cutting surface, wash and clip the ends.

First cut the melon in half, then quarter it. Using the rind, cut into ½-inch triangles without removing the skin.

Place melon wedges or triangles in a single layer on the heated grill. Grill for 2–3 minutes each side over high direct heat, looking for grill marks.

While the melons cook, rapidly make the chili and honey-lime sauce. Mix honey, lime juice, and Aleppo pepper flakes in a small microwave-safe bowl.

 Stir and microwave for 10 seconds. Or, seal your honey securely in a glass jar and set it in a basin of warm water until it loosens).Arrange grilled watermelon.
