How To Determine Your Skin Type

Use a mild cleanser to remove debris, oil, and makeup from your face. Dry your skin with a clean towel.

Cleanse your face

Wait an hour without makeup or skincare products to restore your skin. To avoid transmitting oils or grime from your hands, avoid touching your face.

Wait for an hour

Check your facial skin after an hour. Note the following traits:

Observe your skin

Dryness:- Your cheeks and mouth may feel tight, flaky, or rough if you have dry skin. Oiliness:- Oily skin is shiny or greasy, especially in the T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin).

Combination:- Combination skin is when certain parts of your face are dry and others are oily. Combining oily T-zone with dry cheeks is common. Normal:- Normal skin is balanced and pleasant with little oiliness or dryness.

Blotting papers can help you determine your skin type based on oiliness. Carefully apply blotting paper to your face, focusing on the T-zone. Check how much oil the blotting paper absorbs.

Perform the blotting paper test

Hormones, weather, nutrition, and skincare products might affect your skin. Reassessing your skin type is important because it can change over time.
