Healthy Asparagus Fries

Healthy asparagus fries are the best french fry substitute! These fries are baked until crisp with parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs, so no deep frying is needed.

– 1 ½ lb thick asparagus  – 1 cup panko breadcrumb – ½ cup all-purpose flour – ⅓ cup parmesan cheese  – Salt to taste – Pepper to taste – 2 large egg



Heat the oven to 425 F. Make three bowls: beaten eggs, flour, and parmesan-salt-pepper panko.

Once each asparagus stick is fully coated in flour, dip it in eggs, and roll it in breadcrumbs.

Breaded asparagus should be placed on a large baking sheet separately. Stay near the oven to monitor it.

After 10 minutes, the asparagus and panko breadcrumbs are golden brown.

Maybe do this in batches. Bake 10 minutes until breadcrumbs are crispy and golden brown.

Make sure that all of the remaining ingredients are ready before you trim the asparagus.

Just before baking, wash and cut it. Use ranch dressing or another lighter sauce.

Store in a plastic bag or wrap in the fridge for 2-3 days. Change water if needed.
