Easy Homemade Pita Chips Recipe

Making the most crispy handmade pita chips is easy with this recipe! You may season them anyway you like. Use them as snacks or with your favorite dips and salsas.

Ingredient

– 2 to 3 pita bread with pockets store-bought or homemade – Extra virgin olive oil I used Greek Private Reserve extra virgin olive oil – Kosher Salt – Seasoning of choice I used a generous sprinkle of Za'atar

Prepare a large parchment-free sheet pan.Each pita should lie flat on the cutting board and sliced in half from the seam with a sharp knife or kitchen shears to make two rounds. Skip this step as thick, single-layer pitas can't be divided.

On both sides, brush the pita rounds with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle them with kosher salt and za' ar.

For the second time, cut each round of pita into eight triangles by using either a knife or a pair of kitchen shears.

Place pita triangles on the sheet pan. Bake the pita triangles for 5–10 minutes, turning them regularly, until they are crispy and golden brown.
